An absolutly amazing day.
written @ 9:51 a.m. on 2003-09-28

Yesterday was mom's surprise birthday party. She turned 50 on the 25th. There was a gathering of friends and family at the lake.

She was really surprised since the girls at the hospital through her a party already. They said 2 would be better, because maybe mom would throw in a small raise in pay.

Anyways we had a pretty good time. The weather was alright for once and the drive was great on the way there.

It was very pretty.

For once mom seemed to relax and just visit, rather then her mad dash running around to get everything done. She even got in some quality time with bug.

Don't they look like they are having fun.

Bug couldn't wait to see Tammy and Terrance, so they had to pose for a picture or 2.

I think they be planning to start a family, but they would never say anything at a gathering for mom.

Marion seemed to have an alright time. I am glad that she talked to people. My grandma really liked her. She was just like part of the family, and of course Sydney thinks of her as a sister so that automatically makes it so.

Don't they look so cute. Thats my girls.

There was a rather big surprise for us all. Frankie is back from Mexico, and she brought back a boy. We didn't know she was coming to the party, Tammy kept it a secret. She looks good though.

For those who don't know Frankie, she is Tammy's best friend, and the adopted daughter of the family. Growing up she spent more time with us then her whole family. Since she moved to Mexico we obviously don't see her much, but she never misses a Christmas at our house. My mom was so excited to see her for the first time in almost a year.

The drive home was nice. We stopped at mom's house to get some pumpkins for halloween. 4 quite nice ones actually. We had a rather close call with a moose, but luckily it moved enough for us to get by. A little later we saw another on, but it was nice enough to stay in the ditch. Then we got to see the cutest little (well not that little)black bear. All of these animals kindly posed for pictures, but they are too dark and I have to yet figure out how to lighten them up.

More good news. Angelique had a very large baby girl last night. She was 9lbs and 6 oz. This is very large, for my very small friend. Dennis called as proud as could be. Jonah and Isabella can't wait too see their new little sister. Her name is Acacia Julie. I can't wait to get a picture.

Oh and Angelique being as stubborn as could be went into labour at 2:30, but would got to the hospital until 4:30, and had Acacia at 5:53. The doctor said that if she had waited any longer, the little girl would have been born in the car.

What a happy day yesterday was.
